Forms for all UK Universitiesare submitted through UCAS (Universities and College Admission Service) . UCAS is an online service where you go to fill a form and that is then sent to that particular university you selected.

  • Sandwich programs are made up of a combination of periods of study and time spent in industry. So the course duration extends to 4 years instead of the usual 3 years.
  • Foundation programs are of 1 year duration and are generally tailored for students as an alternative route to bridge between one’s own qualification and which is required for entry for a degree program in a university/college.


  • You can submit your form to UCAS between 1 September and 30 June in the year before the academic year that studies begin.
  • It is recommended to apply as soon as possible before 30 June just to be sure that places are still available.
  • Certain Universities have deadlines. Most Universities do not have deadlines but it is advised to apply at least 6/8 months in advance (especially if applying to a Popular University).

English Requirement

If you are applying for a Tier 4 student visa , you must meet the English language level set by your chosen institution (your college or university). This means that your institution can issue you aConfirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) , which is required for your visa application.


Documents Required for study in UK


  • 13- Years of education is obligatory for direct entry to year-1 of Undergraduate degree
  • 65% and more than for humanities in FSC, 70 – 80% and above for Science, Commerce, Engineering in FSC.
  • 2nd class could also be considered by some Universities if there is some additional qualification / experience.
  • Completed / will complete 18 years of age before joining a degree program.


  • 16- Years of education required for direct entry to a postgraduate degree.
  • 60% and above in 1st degree is required by most of the Universities for Masters and Research courses.
  • Some may even take students at 55% and above in the 1st degree.
  • GMAT scores ranging 500 – 650 by many Universities for Management Programs if required.
  • Working experience should be of at least 1 – 3 years . it required after completion of 1st degree by many Universities for Management Programs (MBA). The same way vary from University to University
  • For Management Programs (MBA), some Universities have a minimum entry age of 25 years.


  • IELTS minimum score of 6.5 for Postgraduate and 6.0 for Undergraduate Studies.
  • TOEFL score of 237 for Postgraduate and 223 for Undergraduate Studies.
  • Exemption is possible, if University can access the candidate English skills (conditions apply).


Tier 4 (General) Student Visa

You can apply on the off chance that you need to examine in the UK and you are matured 16 or over, and meet certain qualification prerequisites like:

  • An offered place on a course in some institution.
  • You must be able to pay your own expenses and support yourself.

How to Apply for UK Visa

  • Fill in the Application Form in English. You will have to first Register at UK Visas and Immigration.
  • Pay Visa Fees. Visa fees may be online or you may have to pay when you got to Visa Application Center. See the table below for complete Visa Fee detail.
  • Print out your form.
  • Call for an Appointment at a Visa Application Centre.
  • You must book and attend an appointment at the Visa Application Centre. You can book an Online Appointment here.
  • When you arrive at the Visa Application Centre you will collect a token. Wait until your token is called to make your application.
  • Bring your appointment letter and application pack (required documents given below,
  • evidence that you have paid your application fee
  • Your visa application along with all the necessary documents will be accepted and placed to Entry Clearance Officer for decision.
  • After all this, a biometric test will also be taken which includes your photographs and finger prints.
  • After a decision has been made your documents will be available for you to pick them up in person from the visa application Centre. Collect your documents in person at the Visa Application Centre.
